About Phil

A blend of design leader, experience designer and marketing professional, experienced to know what works, hungry for new challenges, and excited to exploit the power of new media developments.

My style is bold, it’s disruptive and fun, but it’s also elegant. My successes have come from well honed briefing processes, the right combination of strategy, creative development and media platforms, and ultimately beautifully executed design.

With a career that started in Soho, London, followed by winning awards with becc-agency in Munich, and now with a decade at the esteemed agency Dave Clark, I have developed significant international and domestic experience, together with proven leadership of people and teams.

I’ve strategised and conceptualised, designed, art directed and marketed for some of the largest – and possibly the smallest brands across the globe, corporate giants and freshly-hatched start-ups. Creating visual identity, packaging, brand campaigns and social media solutions, I’ve brought brands to life, generating considerable and sustainable return on investment for clients.

After a total of 15 years working with the ANZ brand team in both New Zealand and Australia, I’ve worked on three masterbrand rebrands and countless sub brand refreshes – including this new launching update.

BMW Group

BMW Group and their brands, BMW i, Rolls-Royce, Mini and BMW Motorcycles represent the pinnacle of motor brands. Working with the heads of each brand team, we designed and redefined their identities and exhibits.

G & T Productions

New Zealand’s own, G & T Productions commission me to lead their marketing campaigns and design work for all aspects of their hugely successful, multi-million dollar musicals within Aotearoa.
